About the Department	The goal of the Department of Applied Informatics is to organize Bachelor, Master and Doctoral studies in Informatics, and to carry out computer science research in artificial intelligence, language and speech technology, neuroinformatics, smart system, digitalization system and other applied fields.
Study programmes	Bachelor study programme: Informatics systems. Specializations: Artificial Intelligence Systems, Software Systems, Business Informatics (in Lithuanian, in English)
	Master study programme: Applied informatics (in Lithuanian, in English)
	PhD (doctoral) study programme: Informatics (jointly with KTU and VGTU)
Research	Main research trends in the department: artificial intelligence applications, language and speech technologies, semantic technologies, neuroinformatics, bioinformatics, digital transformation and digitalization systems, smart systems and internet of things.
	Academic staff of the Department of Applied Informatics participate in the Research Cluster: Artificial Intelligence and Digitalization Systems.
